Acceptable Use Policy
Uses that protect people, private photos and the service from fraud or abuse.
Authorised and lawful images
Process only photographs, signatures, documents and text you own or have permission to use. A parent or authorised guardian can prepare a child's photo for a legitimate application. Do not upload a stranger's private image, an identity document you are not authorised to handle or another person's signature.
Service integrity
Do not probe or bypass access controls, payment controls, quotas or security measures. Do not upload malicious files, automate requests in a way that harms the service or interfere with another user's work. PassportPhotoBox can limit or block abusive use and preserve the minimum technical evidence needed to investigate an incident where the law allows it.
Official identity and signature limits
Do not use a generated face, a generated handwriting style or a copied signature to make an official application appear genuine. A visual signature image, a scanned handwritten signature and a cryptographic digital signature are different things. Follow the receiving organisation's method when identity, consent or authorisation matters.
