Quick answer
Upload the source image, choose a working preset for a popular exam or enter the dimensions from the current application, then position the image inside the final area. Review the result and download it as JPG or PNG in the format requested by the form.
GUIDANCE
Prepare Common Image Files for Exams and Applications
Exam and recruitment forms can ask for several separate image files. A photo, signature, handwritten declaration or thumb impression can each have its own dimensions, format and file size limit, so this workspace lets you prepare each image separately without mixing their settings. The preset library below makes the most common exam workflows easier to find, while custom dimensions cover forms that use different values.
Working presets for important exam and recruitment forms
Custom dimensions for other application forms
Separate settings for signatures, declarations and thumb impressions
JPG or PNG output with an optional file size limit
GUIDANCE
Position the source without distorting it
The live preview shows the pixel canvas that will be exported. Keep the whole image visible when no important edge should be removed. Fill the final image and crop the edges when the source needs to reach every side of the selected canvas, then use the horizontal and vertical controls to position the crop. An advanced option can change the image proportions when the receiving form specifically requires that result.
Keep the whole image visible when every edge matters
Fill the final image and move the crop when the source is not centred
Enter a custom canvas when the current form gives different dimensions
Review the output at full size before creating the final file
OUTPUT & SIZING
Reduce a JPG toward the stated file size
Enable a 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB or custom target when an application has a narrow upload limit. The tool checks different JPG quality levels in your browser and keeps the highest quality result that stays within the selected file size limit. If the source cannot reach the limit without severe quality loss, the result tells you instead of claiming that the file is suitable. PNG remains available when you need output without JPG quality reduction, but its file size cannot be controlled through a quality setting.
Use the file size target only when the current application instructions require it
Choose JPG when the portal gives a maximum size in KB
Choose PNG when the form accepts it and clear edges matter more
Return to the original source when a very small target makes the image soft
FINAL OUTPUT
Name and download the right file
The export panel lets you choose a file name, JPG or PNG format and manual JPG quality when an automatic file size target is not active. The preview also reports the source dimensions, selected output dimensions and export format, so you can check the preparation before downloading. The suggested file name can include the selected profile and output dimensions, which makes it easier to identify the correct image when an application asks for several uploads.
GUIDANCE
Treat profiles as working references, not approval decisions
Exam and application requirements can change between notices. Pixel dimensions, accepted formats, file size limits, naming rules and submission steps can all change, so compare the selected profile with the current official instructions before uploading the file. A correctly prepared image does not guarantee acceptance or approval. The receiving organisation makes that decision.
PRESETS
Available Exam and Application Size Presets
Choose a working preset when your application matches one of the common exam workflows below. Each preset changes the output canvas in the resizer, and the selected dimensions remain visible in the preview before you download the file.
These values are practical working references for this tool. They are not a promise that an examination authority will accept every file. Always compare the selected preset, format and file size with the current official application instructions.

EXAMS
Important Exams Covered by the Resizer
The exam list is organised around the file types people commonly prepare for major recruitment, entrance and public service applications. Select the relevant preset in the workbench, or use custom dimensions when your current notice gives a different value.
SSC
Photo, 200 × 230 pixels
The current working library includes an SSC photo preset for applications that use this common photo canvas. Confirm the latest SSC notice before you upload because the accepted format, file size and other instructions can change.
IBPS and SBI application workflows can request a photo and a handwritten declaration as separate uploads. Prepare each one separately, then compare the current portal instructions with the working values shown here.
The JEE Main group includes separate photo and signature presets. Use the correct file type for each upload and check the current application notice for the live format and file size limits.
GATE applications can request a portrait file and a signature file with different canvases. Select the photo or signature preset instead of trying to prepare both files with one size.
UPSC
Photo, 413 × 531 pixels
The UPSC working library includes a photo preset. It is a preparation starting point only, so check the current UPSC notice for the required dimensions, format and file size before submission.
BPSC has separate working values for the photo and signature. Use the matching preset for each file, review the crop and then compare the exported result with the current application instructions.
NEET
Passport, postcard, signature and thumb impression presets
NEET is covered with four separate working presets: passport photo at 413 × 531 pixels, postcard photo at 1200 × 1800 pixels, signature at 413 × 177 pixels and thumb impression at 413 × 531 pixels. Choose the exact upload type requested by the current form.
SUPPORTING FILES
Prepare Signatures, Declarations and Thumb Impressions
Many applications ask for more than a portrait. The same workbench can prepare a signature, a handwritten declaration or a thumb impression when you know the width and height required by the form. Use the matching file type and do not place several different uploads into one canvas.
SignaturesGeneral signature, DocuSign electronic signature, Parivahan signature and PAN Card signature presets.
Thumb impressionsNEET and general thumb impression presets, with custom dimensions available for another form.
CUSTOM SIZE
Need Another Size? Enter Custom Dimensions
If your exam, university, employer or application portal is not listed, select Custom dimensions in the workbench. Enter the exact width and height shown by the current form, then choose the required format and file size limit.
Use the notice as your sourceEnter the width and height in pixels as they appear in the current instructions. The custom canvas is useful for a different exam or a new notice, but it does not decide what the authority requires.
OUTPUT
Dimensions, Format and File Size Are Different
An application can require all three. Set the canvas dimensions first, choose the format accepted by the portal and then use a JPG file size target only when the current form gives a KB limit.

WORKFLOW
How to Prepare an Exam File
01Read the current notice
Find the required file type, dimensions, format and file size before opening the tool.
02Upload the source
Choose the clearest original photo, signature, declaration or thumb impression available.
03Prepare the canvas
Select the matching preset or enter custom dimensions, then position the source without losing important detail.
04Review and download
Check the preview, dimensions, format and file size together before saving the final image.
CHOOSE
Use the General Resizer or a Focused Tool?
Use this general resizer when the main requirement is the image dimensions, format or file size. A focused tool is better when the file needs additional work that is specific to a signature, thumb impression or photo with a name and date.
What you need
Better tool
Prepare a general exam or application image with custom dimensions
Exam and Document Resizer
Prepare an existing signature with cropping, ink cleanup and a file size limit
The working preset library includes SSC, IBPS and SBI workflows, JEE Main, GATE, UPSC, BPSC and NEET. It also includes general image sizes, signature presets, an IBPS handwritten declaration and thumb impression presets.
Can I resize an exam photo, signature and thumb impression in the same tool?
Yes. The resizer can prepare each application file separately when the main job is setting the dimensions, format or file size. Choose the matching preset for the photo, signature, declaration or thumb impression instead of using one size for every file.
How do I know what dimensions to enter?
Use the values shown by the current examination or application. A working profile can provide a starting point, but the latest official notice remains the final reference.
Is image size the same as file size in KB?
No. Width and height describe the image dimensions, while KB describes how much storage the finished file uses. A form can specify both requirements separately.
Can I use a custom size if my exam is not listed?
Yes. Choose Custom dimensions, enter the width and height shown by the current form, and then select the required format and file size before downloading.
Does using a listed preset guarantee acceptance?
No. The presets are working references for the tool. Dimensions, formats, file size limits and other requirements can change, so compare the finished file with the current official instructions before uploading it.
