Cookie Policy
The browser storage used to keep work available during a task, and the choices that would be needed before optional tracking is added.
Storage used by the current public product
PassportPhotoBox uses browser storage to keep a working photo or tool setting available while you continue a task. Depending on the tool, this can include session storage, local storage and IndexedDB. These technologies store or access information on your device even when they are not traditional browser cookies.
The current public product does not include advertising pixels or optional analytics tools. Social media links appear as ordinary links in the footer and do not load a social platform until you choose to open that platform.
Why this storage is used
A selected photo and preset can be stored temporarily so that moving from an upload card to the editor does not require another upload. The editor can store a working session on the device so a page refresh does not immediately remove it. Clearing the relevant site data can reset a tool and remove these local copies, which is useful when the application is complete or the computer is shared.
Future optional technology
If PassportPhotoBox adds analytics, advertising, personalisation or another optional technology, it will need to identify the provider and purpose before it runs. Where the law requires consent, the service will need a genuine choice that allows a visitor to refuse optional storage as easily as accepting it.
