AI Photo Editing Policy
How Official Document Mode differs from creative Professional Portrait Mode.
Official Document Mode
Official Document Mode is for technical preparation, not creative reconstruction. It can help with crop, positioning, output dimensions, compression and supported background work. It should not change facial shape, eyes, facial hair or another identity characteristic that the receiving authority expects the photograph to show truthfully.
Professional Portrait Mode
Creative portrait tools can offer a result with styling, clothing, lighting or background changes when that feature is clearly labelled. The input sent for a creative remote feature can leave the device for processing. A creative result is not automatically suitable for a passport, visa, examination or government application.
Limitations and retakes
Artificial intelligence can make mistakes and can produce a convincing but inaccurate detail. A face that is severely blurred, partly hidden, poorly lit or incomplete needs a new source photograph when the task is an official application. Creating missing detail is not a safe correction because it can make the output less truthful.
Use the destination's rule
The receiving authority or organisation decides whether an edited photo is permitted. Some destinations allow only a camera photograph with limited cropping, while others set their own upload checks. Read the current rule before using an editing feature and choose a local control when it solves the task without a remote transfer.
